HIV Surrogacy
Surrogacy offers a path to parenthood for individuals and couples living with HIV. Surrogacy is a viable and safe option for HIV-positive individuals to have biological children. We take pride in making numerous HIV parents' dreams of having a baby come true. Technological advancements gave us the possibility to use the intended father's sperm for in vitro fertilization without endangering the safety of the surrogate mother and the child. Through a meticulous process called sperm washing, the chances of transmitting the HIV virus are reduced to almost zero. Before the procedure starts, intended parents are required to send test results confirming that their viral load is undetectable. If the viral load is above the required minimum, the client needs to go through several months of antiretroviral therapy until his viral load is reduced to an undetectable level. After that, intended parents can proceed to the next stage of sperm donation and egg fertilization.
Sperm Washing
Sperm washing is the process of separating motile sperm from the rest of the semen. The HIV virus is not actually carried by individual sperm cells but rather by the seminal fluid. The laboratory procedure of sperm washing removes exactly this seminal fluid, along with non-moving sperm cells, cellular debris, and bacteria leaving only highly motile sperm for use. After completing the consultation process with our fertility specialists, you will visit our facility for a final check for the virus. Once it is confirmed that your viral load meets the clinical requirements, you will proceed with the sperm washing process, followed by egg fertilization and embryo transfer.
Pricing
The costs associated with surrogacy for HIV-positive intended parents primarily stem from additional medical procedures, such as sperm washing, which require specialized equipment and expertise. As a result, the prices for intended parents with HIV are higher compared to those for healthy parents.
